About Me

"But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous."

A few things about me...
- I am a Junior at Appalachian State University.
- I am majoring in Elementary Education and I hope to inspire young minds to learn one day.
- I am from Mint Hill, North Carolina.
-I am the middle child, which let me tell you, makes for an interesting life. I have two sisters, one who is 22 and one who is 17. They have seen me at my best and at my worst. They have made me laugh more than anyone else in this world. Together, we are authors of many hilarious stories, and like to think that we are the inventors of the nargle. We are die hard Harry Potter fans and just about as silly as they come.
-I am blessed with a wonderful mom and dad. Together, they have taught me so much about life.
- At Appalachian, I am President of Sigma Alpha Omega, the only Christian sorority on campus which has been an incredibly rewarding experience. A true City on a Hill.
- I absolutely love Harry Potter.
- I love to read.
- Favorite color is green.
- I have been drinking coffee since the 3rd grade. Addicted? Maybe..
- I have never broken a bone. The most serious injury I have ever encountered was tripping and falling on my 4th grade field trip and having to have 6 stitches in my knee. It was tragic.
- I can listen to almost any type of music.
- I played numerous sports as a child before realizing that I wasn't too athletic. Instead, I became a cheerleader for 6 years, part of middle school, and through high school.
- I absolutely love mission work, and I want to travel around the world someday.
- Most exciting place I have ever been: Guatemala
- I accepted Christ in the 2nd Grade and rededicated my life to Him in high school.
- I am on staff at Elevation: Boone Extension and LOVING what God is doing in and through that church.
-The real fact is that it's not about me! It's all about Jesus!

The One who gave me my identity

The One who knows me better than I know myself.

The One who sustains me when times are tough.

The One who loves me unconditionally, though I have sinned.

The One who is completely perfect

The One who died so that I may LIVE.

"Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." - Luke 9:23
